As I was coming out from the anesthesia and recovering so that I could be released, I was taken by Michael's caring, respectful, knowledgable and supportive care. His caring felt genuine. I felt totally at ease and confident that my recovery would go well (which in fact was unbelievably good - certainly due to having the top surgeon in the state for these matters but enhanced by Michael's demeanor and help) under Michael's care at a time I could have been extremely anxious about my prognosis. As a former manager, Michael's service stood out for me, I let him know how I felt about it, and I had to let you know about it in hopes that he is acknowledged in whatever ways Queen's has for exemplary service and supported for what such employees do for the organization.
Professional. Intelligent. Knowledgeable. Experienced. Caring. Engaged. These are some of the adjectives I would use for Michael's work. I deeply appreciate his support for me at this critical moment for me, and Queen's for having, and supporting, employees like him.
