Jack was nominated by a patient’s wife “My husband was a patient in Open Heart Recovery. Jack made sure that I knew everything concerning my husband’s care; he went an above and beyond the call of duty so many times, but there is one particular ACT of kindness that I want to share with you.

On Valentine’s Day while my husband was in the ICU, he was upset because he was unable to anything on this special day. He always brought me a “special” box of chocolates and a card. I came to visit my husband; he was sitting in a chair with a smile on his face and a box of chocolates with a card. Jack had found our “special” box of chocolates and got my husband a card to sign. It was a very special Valentine’s Day, thanks to Nurse Jack.” This special act of kindness brought tears to my eyes to learn that Nurse Jack thought enough about not only my husband but me. I will never forget Nurse Jack”.
