Vilma plays an integral role on the Stem Cell Transplant and Cell Therapy Program at the comprehensive care and research center in Zion, Ill, as a care manager working with patients who are post-stem cell transplant.

Her doing so is extremely important and also challenging because my weekly lab results can vary greatly, which means that Vilma has to speak to my doctors about my current test levels and then pass on their instructions to me.
