From my first visit with Rebecca, she was exceptionally polite, sat on a stool, facing me, having a personal conversation, in which I could tell she genuinely cared about me, my situation, and what I was about to go through. She took notes while I talked to the doctor and I cannot tell you how much that was appreciated. They were simple, easy to understand, and explained perfectly what I needed a refresher on. She then kept in touch via email when I had a question or concern. I then saw her during my final visit with the doctor.
Again, Rebecca came in, sat on a stool in front of me, had a nice, caring conversation. I was an emotional mess waiting for results. She always made me feel like a woman, a human. Sometimes things we don't feel after going through the mastectomy process. You can tell she always has your feelings, your needs and concerns first and foremost, which is what is very much appreciated and needed.
On my last visit, I received my survivor gifts and along with that, Rebecca mentioned a breast cancer program that will assist breast cancer survivors with any bill that may incur during their journey. I submitted a bill to her, and she is handling the whole process! One more thing I did not, do not have to worry about. I believe she is going above and beyond at that point. She could easily let me know of the program and say good luck. She does not. Rebecca is in the right position. She is a true DAISY Nurse. Personal attention means the most to a survivor. Thank you, Rebecca!
