I have been hospitalized several times in my 85 years. Surviving several operations, two heart attacks, and recently a severe case of colitis, which resulted in my being admitted to Baylor Irving for 6 days.
Francisca is the perfect example of someone who loves her job and goes out of her way to provide exceptional care and consideration of a patient's needs. She is always positive, cheerful, and makes you feel like you are the most important person in her care. Not only was she extremely prompt when needed, but she also made it her practice to stop by unannounced to ask if I needed anything, which I know is difficult to accomplish with a busy floor full of patients. I have been in the Management Consulting Business since 1796, specializing in consulting and training for management of both large and small companies. I have been teaching and training trainers for several decades, and pride myself in recognizing people who are natural trainers. I would like to point out that in my opinion, Francisca is a natural trainer, and is doing an outstanding job of training her preceptee, who is eager to learn how to provide the same outstanding care Francisca does.
Thank you for allowing me to be a patient at your hospital, and experience the outstanding care I received from all of your staff. This experience once again reminds me that most assets we employ in our businesses are deprecated in value over time, but the one asset that appreciates in value, with proper care, are the people we depend on to provide the service and care, especially those who go out of their way to provide customer, and in this case, patient satisfaction.
It is always a pleasure to be able to recognize someone who goes beyond their call of duty to ensure customer service, safety and provides compassionate care. Please thank all of those who provided my care on the 4th floor, especially Francisca.
