I first met Alex when he was the visiting nurse for my housemate and best friend, S. His calming and extremely pleasant demeanor was very welcoming during the many months of her chaotic illness and many hospital stays. He is very knowledgeable and extremely competent. Alex and S walked a difficult path together and learned together. He respected her privacy and understood her frustration at the many recurrences of her illness.
Then in January I flat lined and stayed in the hospital for 5 days. I was overjoyed to see that Alex was now assigned to me. My care was very different, and I needed less attention and my memory was very poor. He understood that and knew I could not answer many questions about the 1st 24 hours of my experience. As usual, his care was very kind and skilled and much appreciated.
