Teresita Fuller or Tess as we call her has been a nurse at Cal for over 9 years and has become a fixture in our facility. She is one of the strongest, most competent nurses we have - which is saying a lot because our department overflows with skill and talent. She has strong values, ethics and sets the highest of standards for patient care. She is known to be a resource for even the most seasoned nurses, and we rely on her often. She is so caring that she repeatedly puts the needs of others before herself. We believe that her love of nursing radiates through the entire department and continues to inspire California Hospital's Emergency Department legacy of nursing.
The following includes quotes from some of the people lucky enough to have the opportunity to know and work with Tess. "She's hardworking; she works harder than most of us." "She knows her stuff." "She advocates for our patients and provides proper care. She pushes for a higher level of care when needed and saves lives." "She cares about her patients and knows when to give tough love." She takes the nursing profession seriously and holds high nursing standards of practice." "I have the utmost respect for Tess. She was the one who taught me how to be a nurse. She taught me the importance of thoroughness, compassion, and how to be an advocate - for not only patients but co-workers and the department. She has dedicated her life to nursing and she is an example we can all learn from."
