Lindsey was a true friend and advocate for my father, especially during his last night of life. He began experiencing reactions to medications and behavior changes due to these medications and pain. Lindsey was calm and encouraging during this very challenging night. My father became combative and she worked in concert with us utilizing comforting actions to soothe him. She was valuable to me and my sister, providing us with as much information as possible.
Lindsey utilized all the tools in her arsenal, dedicating resources to my father to keep him in bed and to keep him safe. My Dad insisted on getting up to relieve himself and she always responded with immediacy. Lindsey was a true resource of strength for me during this very challenging and emotional night. I can't imagine how exhausted she was after her shift; I know she managed to care for all her other patients in addition to the constant care my father required during his last night. She was truly a Godsend for us. We were fortunate enough to have her as our nurse earlier in my father's stay and my Dad really liked and remembered her. Thank you, Lindsey!
