My daughter was born weighing just 15 ounces at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital NICU. Her Primary Care had been this nurse who cared for her since her birth, for five months. I must mention to you that this nurse has shown excellent care towards my daughter. She is such a caring, gentle, and understanding person. I have watched her for those 138 days my daughter lived there. There are times I would pass by just to see what those nurses would be doing in caring for my child at different times. I never have a set time that I would come by, most times when this nurse works, she would be cuddling my daughter or even my daughter's neighbor in the next room. Sometimes I would peak and look to see how she performed her nursing duties.. she has excellent nursing skills medical skills, academic skills, common sense skills, and all human skills that will come in dealing with babies. I will never forget Lily telling me to think positive and that everything is going to be okay, even though my only child was hooked up to cords and machines, and medicine to keep her alive. I guess her tone was just all I needed to hear to give me hope. She was in love with my little girl even one RN she was precepting told me, "don't worry your baby is in great hands and she has a great primary care nurse." I never regret making Lily my daughter's number 1 nurse. She is the best. She is excellent, wonderful, phenomenal, extraordinary, the best, she is great with her nursing skills and her caring kind heart. She did a fabulous job with my daughter and I am sure other parents would say the same.
