Acute care was taking care of a patient admitted attempting recovery from a drug addiction. This patient had a 2-month-old baby whom Arla cared for when this baby was born. She caught wind that this patient was in Acute Care and came and visited her. She took photos of the patient and her baby while the baby was present in visitation. She developed the picture, framed it and came to present the patient with this picture as an additional incentive during her rehab program (6 months away from her baby). Arla clearly showed her care and compassion for this mother and her baby. Thank you, Arla, for your energy and commitment to seeing that this mother can reverse her addiction and return to her job as a mother to her baby. Way to go!
