I have received excellent care from each and every person in all of the departments. From the doctors, nurses, aides, techs, respiratory, imaging, housekeeping, and dietary. I want to acknowledge one particular nurse who I call my angel of mercy. Her name is Love. She is the embodiment of the compassionate and efficient care that I am receiving here at Dr. Phillips Hospital. I arrived in severe respiratory distress and was very frightened. I suffered numerous panic attacks and was overwhelmed by all that was happening to me. Love is truly called to her profession and has cared for me, making me feel as if I am more than my physical illness. She let me know that my life matters. Love encouraged me to have tests and procedures that were scary to terrifying to me. She comforted me when I was at a critical stage and not sure if I would make it.
As I am improving and getting stronger each day, Love has been my night nurse since admission 3 nights ago. The care she gave me helped me to want to fight to get well. I had been so ill for so long before agreeing to go to the hospital and suffering so much pain that I had given up and was ready to go if God was ready to call me home. The entire staff here at Dr. Phillips saved my life. Including the EMTs who transported me to the ER staff. I am grateful for each one.
Love lives up to her name and I want her to know she is an outstanding example of her profession. She has a calling and is especially blessed to be an excellent nurse. Her skills, as well as her personality, do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Love helped me to know that I could trust my life and care to the Orlando Health Dr. Phillips Hospital. Each individual is excellently skilled and I am hopeful that I will continue to improve so that I can find out why God is not through with me yet.
