Victoria is an extraordinary nurse that has shown more passion for the oncology field and her patients than I have seen in my 4 years of working. All the nurses I work with love our patients, but there is something about Victoria that is truly unique. She is an above and beyond nurse and human. She has been finding new ways to improve the unit for nurses and the patients. She does beautiful things for the unit all the time while going to school to become a nurse practitioner. She is selfless to a fault I have witnessed her compassion for patients. She will sit and hold her patients hand, and she would sing, or read a prayer to soothe the patient. She brings patients who are alone and confused much needed peace. A heart of pure gold. I look up to Vicky now, I might have trained her, but she is teaching me new ways to be a better nurse every day. Sometimes I feel that she is making me a better human being as well. I believe she will have a permanent place and will make a tremendous change in the oncology field.
