Debbie was my nurse the first day I arrived to be induced. She was terrific the first day. I had no active labor during the first day. That night I had a real scare with my baby's heart rate continually dropping lower. The physician and the mid-wife geared me for a possible C-section. That morning Debbie came in to start her shift. She was so encouraging even though I was so very upset. With Debbie's guidance, I started to dilate and she kept me grounded. She was excellent with my family keeping them informed and engaged.
Debbie, as "my nurse", brought me back from a low point feeling I was going to have a C-section and I was very upset about that. When Debbie kept talking to me and encouraging me I felt I had a chance to deliver my child. With Debbie's great instructions and compassion, I started dilating going from 4 to 5. Debbie kept rotating me, strengthening my baby's heartbeat, me and my family. I clearly want to say in the labor and delivery department Debbie is a "gem". I cannot thank her enough for helping me through this situation and making me feel grateful I had a vaginal delivery. Thank you, you are a diamond!
