I just wanted you to know you were a day maker! When I arrived one morning after having gone home to get some rest because I had been up for over 34 hours after being at the quick care and then in the ER all night, my husband said that you had been taking care of him and you were very attentive to his needs and that you made sure that you explained everything you were doing for him. At that point, we did not have a diagnosis and I was very concerned as just days prior my husband had been in excellent health and now we were facing something very serious in his blood.
Upon meeting you when you came in to check on my husband, I was pleasantly surprised to find you so hospitable and kind. Your bedside manner was amazing as you were so calm and very personable. That day that I met you, I was pretty much in shock of my husband being in the hospital as I had said before he has always been in good health and this was so sudden. With this anxiety, you met all of our needs including when I insisted that you contact the doctor immediately because he had a red mark from his infection in his leg leading to his groin area. Thank you for addressing our immediate concern as this prompted the doctor to come and check it out and calm us down as I truly thought we would lose him over this horrible sudden infection.
It is because of you that I now have a renewed faith in the hospital and just wanted to make sure that although you may think that your work is routine, it did not go unnoticed. My husband, myself and my 8 kids thank you for your service. It was because of the positive experience that we received that my 16-year-old daughter is now considering a career in nursing. Thank you for being a wonderful nurse and for the amazing care that we received from you. Your personal attention and interaction were a life saver. Thank you.
