My family and I truly experienced an outstanding nurse when my uncle was being treated in the ICU. Danielle had just begun her shift and was in the room accessing my uncle when I noticed right away the empathy she had in her voice when speaking to him and the family.
Danielle worked so hard to clean up my uncle's room, all with a great attitude and even managed to make him laugh a few times. Danielle's top priority was the patient and his comfort/pain levels. She gave him such great attention that she quickly realized the tips of his fingers were blue and that he felt cold, it didn't take her long to get him a heated air filled blanket and new bedding since his bedding had some blood and other fluids on them. We all know new bedding makes us feel great, especially when we are not feeling well, to begin with.
Nurses like Danielle are what makes the Cleveland Clinic a top hospital. Danielle had such empathy, compassion, and responsiveness, even in a high-level environment such as the ICU. You could tell she didn't choose her nursing career, Danielle's nursing career chose her. Thank you to Danielle and your team for my uncle's great care!
