Despite working under tremendous pressure, she fosters an environment of servant leadership and recognition for others. In this environment, nurses are inspired to do their very best, role modeling her caring behaviors. She provides a setting where compassion is valued, and nurses, in turn, treat patients and families with deep humanity.
