I was transferred here from a community hospital. I went to the labor and delivery floor where I was met by Macaria and her smiling face. I came to the hospital because I was having complications with my pregnancy and ended up having to terminate. It has been a rough 36 hours thus far. I want to recognize Macaria.
I need you all to know how much of a difference she made for me in the darkest time I was facing. She was literally my light in a basket. She was so helpful, kind, understanding and loving towards me. It felt as if I'd known her for years. As I was going through the rough part of the doctors explaining I was going to lose my son, she sat next to me and rubbed my hair and shoulders and wiped my tears as I cried. I need you all to know how important that was to me as a mother, a person and as someone going through a hard time, she made a world of difference to me. She literally walked me every step of the way.
When it was time for me to have surgery, she even went down with me and told me not to worry, that she was there with me and would be there once I woke up. As I drifted off, she just smiled and me and told me everything was going to be okay. She helped me accept the hurt I was feeling and the pain and helped me through everything I felt. I was in a bad place when I came in, but she helped me out and made me understand that I needed to get better in order to go home to my husband and daughter that they needed me to be okay.
She is a GREAT nurse and she was made for what she does, and you can tell she loves what she does, and it makes it much better. If Macaria gets to see this I want to THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. You helped me through a dark time. Even though there was a room full of people around me you make sure to focus only on me and what I felt. Thank you again so much. I appreciate you and everything you did for me. I wish I would have hugged you before I left.
