To say Michella is a critical team member would be an understatement. Daily she demonstrates dedication, excels at her job and lives out the Mercy mission. Recently we had a patient who required emergent care. Michella worked beside the physician to do whatever possible to get the patient stable. During that entire situation, Michella remained calm in front of the patient, the patient's family, and the unit. She was in constant communication with the necessary departments, covered the unit to obtain whatever the doctor had requested, all while handling the minute by minute questions and issues that occur during a busy shift. She involved other team members but never asked anyone to do anything that she would not do herself. During this tense and uncertain time, she showed superb professionalism, which undoubtedly contributed to a good outcome for the patient.
