I just finished my chemo regiment, 8 infusions in all. Wendy was my nurse for three of the eight cycles. On my sixth cycle, I had an allergic reaction to Oxaliplatin. She immediately took action to assure my safety and gave me meds to counteract the reaction. Wendy was calm, collected and very professional. She never lost her cool, even though I was scared and not sure what was going on with me. She explained what happened and why. She also called Dr. B and filled him in on what happened. I was able to finish almost the rest of the Oxaliplatin, under her watch. Wendy clearly explained what to do if I had a reaction at home and what my wife needed to look for. Wendy was truly concerned and said she was so sorry that I had to experience this. She is caring, nice and professional. Everyone at ABBCI has been exceptional. Cancer sucks, but ABBCI has been wonderful to me and my family. ABBCI made us feel important.
