My sister recently had surgery and Deanna was her nurse. Unfortunately for my sister she had a bleeding issue and started bleeding heavily. Deanna was very proactive in calling the doctor and asking him to come. Deanna stayed until the doctor came and she was taken back to surgery to repair a tear. I am an RN myself and was very concerned for my sister, but I never questioned her nursing care. Deanna went above and beyond for my sister and our family. Please know I am not easily impressed with the healthcare system and Deanna blew me away! She came to check on my sister after she came back from the OR. She offered me any assistance that she could. I was clearly frazzled and she helped me feel better by introducing me to the oncoming nurse and tech. Deanna informed me she was going to be back the next day and would be with my sister in the morning. No matter how educated you are, how experienced you are, or how many certificates you have, you cannot teach compassion. Deanna is the perfect example of compassion! She was very quick on her feet but also took the time to make sure I was okay. Thank you so much for such awesome care of my sister. We will never forget you.
