Cindy is the only nurse that took the time to shave my husband. She also bothered to ask what he would normally watch on TV. When he was not coherent enough to communicate and others left it on a channel he would never watch for almost 2 days. I later found out that when he was on the vent that she would randomly stop into his room to encourage him and rub his back. Cindy was off work the day after the vent was removed but stopped into see us. She also took time to visit us on another floor after we had left the ICU. Being in a time of crisis it was always a source of peace to come in and see she was his nurse. Always professional, always kind, always giving a little extra. You knew she really cared.
