Sarah went above and beyond a nurse's job. I have been in the hospital for 21 days and from the very first day I had her as my nurse she took her time to explain everything to me, help me with anything I required assistance with, offer help for everything else, and answered any calls for assistance, questions, or meds in a more than just timely manner. She was also very knowledgeable when it came to any questions or concerns I may have had.
On top of all of these things I've already mentioned, she was a wonderful person to talk with. I know I wasn't her only patient, but she always took the time to talk with me, and seemed genuinely concerned about my well-being and not just making me feel like she was checking "requirements" off of a checklist so that she could move on. I've had health issues for the majority of my life, and I have found that it is very unusual to find so much professionalism in a person that is also so personable. She even stood out to my family who visited me while I was here, and they were all very impressed by her.
Lastly, she also went out of her way to get me information. I'm the type of person who needs to know as much as I can about meds, procedures, side effects and anything else I may be getting or having done. Even if it meant going and finding someone else to answer those questions, she always did, and in a timely manner as well. Sarah was absolutely phenomenal.
