This summer I was a patient at the Hahn Oncology Center receiving breast brachytherapy. During my 6 days (11 total visits) I had the pleasure of having Connie Clem as my primary nurse. Connie made each visit so much easier. She calmed my fears, gave me doable instructions and was the most patient and kind lady each and every day. My fourth day of treatment landed on a Friday, therefore I would have the balloon catheter in place all weekend. Connie assured me all would be fine, however, she gave me her personal cell phone number to call if I had any questions or concerns. I do believe that is going above and beyond the call of duty. In May when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had no idea what was ahead of me. I was worried, not only about cancer but about the treatment itself. God placed me in the hands of the most capable and caring nurse ever and for that, I will be eternally grateful. Connie made all the difference in my world this past summer.
