Aaron, working beside you as a nurse has always been fun. You find time to laugh even in a stressful day which we all need. Like many of the nurses, I work alongside you took great care of my father and I cannot even find the words to thank you enough for making him smile (yes you can do that with an ET tube) and enjoy the time he was awake. Thank you for taking the extra time to make sure he was so comfortable because you could read on his face that something just wasn't right. My mom loved how you jumped whenever she had that panic look in her eyes just from watching him cough. Yes, my dad was the patient, but just making my mom breathe a sigh of relief when I decided I was crazy enough to go back to work and leave her at his bedside all day. And thank you, thank you for making sure he never showed pain, anxiety or fear in his last hours. Thank you for taking special care of him even after he passed and we walked crying hysterically from the room and out of the hospital for the last time with the realization that Dad was never coming home again. Thank you for saying. "Hey B guess who is here" and having my dad look at the door and see the happiness on his face to see my mother and I walk through the door. I just can't say thank you enough.
