Myka was my husband's nurse for two surgeries; one on the anterior side and the following day on the posterior side. First, it was so nice to have a familiar face for two days with two surgeries. I credit the hospital for knowing that this is important. It boosts morale and confidence. Second, Myka is so steady in everything she says and does. She's very calming, so bright, positive, and supportive. Third, I find this remarkable at this Centura Hospital - everyone says at the end of their visit with you "Is there anything else I can do for you?". Quite impressive! However, Myka always said it with such true sincerity. This is truly amazing because the days were quite busy at this hospital during this stay. Myka never made us feel like she was stressed and hurried and needed to move to the next call quickly. Fourth, since I am now a senior, I have a true appreciation for someone who is juggling several requests and never drops a single one. Lastly, who can ever complain about a non-stop smile even at the end of a long shift?
