Sable was super-efficient, always making sure to come in before his IV bag needed to be changed or to start the next infusion so the beeping wouldn't wake him up. I explained that my son tends to have night terrors, especially in surroundings he's not used to, and Sable took great care when she would come in to take his vitals, calming him down if he startled. The night terrors made him move so much that he kept setting off the IV alarm, and Sable created a little makeshift splint so he wouldn't bend his elbow.
