When I arrived at the ER by ambulance, Adam took over as my nurse and ensured I would be okay in every way possible. First, I must have bothered Adam a handful of times even when he was busy dealing with a Code Blue and other new patients coming in. Adam always came to my room with a smile, ready to help me with questions I had and get me what I needed to feel comfortable. Even if it was to sit down and talk to me and make me laugh! I had an anxiety attack from taking a medicine I didn't do well with. Immediately, Adam jumped to my side to calm me down and help me get through the moment.
My heart rate was dropping, and the nurses came running into my room to help me. When Adam arrived and heard what happened, he immediately came in and walked me through how to relax and stay calm, telling me that I would get through this. My family called, and Adam was quick to talk with them and answer all of their questions and sat down next to me to let them know, he's taking good care of me not to worry to my mother!
One thing I will say about Adam is he does his job with grace and loves his patients. I felt as if I had a big brother there taking care of me and not just some nurse. Thank you, Adam, for your willingness to go far and beyond for his patients.
