Sharla Powell is a woman of faith. Her faith is the foundation of her character, integrity and her value system. Sharla had a patient in the ER who came in talking but quickly became gravely ill. Sharla worked hard to save her life and the patient was transferred. Sharla prayed for this patient and her family and even went to see them downtown. Her dedication and compassion are inspiring to all who work with her.

Sharla is probably the most compassionate person I've ever known. She pours her heart into patient care. I observed her caring for a young woman who was critically ill recently and her compassion for this girl was inspiring. Every act was performed with patience and kindness. She stood with the patient's family in the ICU after her care was transferred and even visited the patient downtown when she was ultimately moved to another facility. Sharla is compassionate, trustworthy, and professional beyond measure. The world is a brighter place with her in it.
