My wife was recently admitted to the hospital and was under Marcelle Tedesco's care for two days. Ms. Tedesco is the most caring and understanding nurse my wife and I have ever encountered. She always had time to explain every procedure she did for my wife and did so with enthusiasm and exceptional knowledge. No request was too small for her to carry through with, and when summoned to the bedside she was always there promptly. Her demeanor was very professional, she was always neatly and properly attired in her uniform and she was a great listener whenever my wife asked questions or wanted to share concerns about her illness. The information she disseminated to us was always accurate and reassuring.
I, as a guest/visitor, was more than made to feel welcome and any inquiries I made about what procedures were being undertaken were answered and explained. She always offered comfort items to me such as water or juice and I was never made to feel like I was in the way. Her rapport with the other staff on the floor is excellent and they worked well together as a team. I cannot say enough complimentary things about Ms. Tedesco as my wife's caregiver at Brandon Hospital. She made my wife's visit to recover from her illness so much easier for her and our entire family. Brandon can be proud to have her on staff. She is such a positive role model of what quality people work at your hospital and I feel she deserves this DAISY Award.
