I have personally observed Angel for a total of about 30+ hours working with my son. He is clearly a "gem". His bedside manners are a notch above. He quickly established a dynamic, caring, and compassionate relationship with D. Under stress, D can display PTSD contributed by his 4 years as a Marine and combat tour in Fallujah, Iraq.
In his first week, nurses called security twice. They didn't know D uses a VET approved modality called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to avoid these incidences. But when Angel found out, he learned the basic technique and quickly caught on with outstanding results. KMH Security has not been required since the first two incidences over a month ago. Notably, stress and tension on D's face literally disappear when Angel enters the room.
His patient observation and communication skills are a great comfort to family and D. D thrives more with Angel than with many others, displaying more direct eye contact and more verbalization. Angel exudes an air of commitment, dedication, and teamwork with other nurses. If his interactions were described with one word it would be "uplifting".
Finally, his knowledge and experience appear extensive giving us confidence that D is getting the best medical assistance possible.
