Lancie was my Mother's nurse for two days. My mother had fallen and broken her right hip the evening before. Mom had to be transferred to Wesley Long for the surgery she needed. My father, brother, and I were very unsure of everything. We had never been to Wesley Long Hospital.
Lancie was so wonderful. She was compassionate, competent, and made my Mother and family feel special. She understood we really had no information about the surgery my mother was to have. We had many questions. She went above and beyond to inform us. She was able very early Monday to find out that my Mother's surgery would be Tuesday. She arranged for my Mother to have a diet. She recognized my Mother's pain medication was not helping and by noon she had new orders for pain for my Mother. She was right here for us.
The next day Lancie kept us informed as well. We felt Mom was safe and in good hands with all the Staff of 3 West. Lancie went above and beyond. Thanks to all the staff who worked so hard to keep my Mother safe!
