Behavioral health and mental health in adolescents are such a critical and touchy subject to discuss and expose. Let alone treat a patient with mental health and behavioral instability. Not for Sasha in the ER.
As a parent of a special needs child being admitted, Sasha went above and beyond in her care for our child. She was professional and kept us informed. She tried her best to keep in good communication with all parties involved and ensure that we as parents were updated as well.
Sasha communicated with respect and understanding. With no judgment and a smile, she not only used her exemplary skill set in nursing but also used her heart to ensure comfort and diligent care. Her bedside manner, quick responses to get answers, and determination of hustle to get to all of her patients was greatly appreciated.
As a military family, thanks is not enough for Sasha. She has made this awful experience one that was much easier to carry. One person can make a difference - and that is Sasha. She should be celebrated. She is a shining example of a medical professional, a smart and caring nurse, and the heart that should be duplicated amongst her peers.
