Jim was nominated for helping a patient navigate his new stoma after emerging from surgery.
The patient had been battling cancer since 2018. The family was fearful of the introduction of two stomata and felt that the patient's chances were growing slimmer.
"When Jim arrived the day after the surgery and showed B his bodily changes, we realized they were very doable," the patient's family member wrote. "Each time Jim comes in, he guides with care and professionalism. He tells you how it is and never considers any question dumb."
Thanks to Jim's attentive care, the patient's fears were calmed, and he was able to continue with home care, feeling confident about the new changes to his medical routine.
