Our son was born on Friday. After about 12 hours of life, the baby became inconsolable. Jenna came in to take vitals on him. When she could not get a proper respiratory rate, she took him to the floor nursery to get a better reading where she found out his breathing was high and that he needed extra eyes. She offered to keep him for the night so we could get some much-needed sleep.
Both feedings throughout the night had to be done via gavage feedings. In the morning, Jenna brought in the resident floor doctor to explain why our baby should go to the NICU. She made sure I was emotionally stable before she left for the day. She also came back the next night to see how we were doing and to take care of me for the night. We are so grateful and appreciative to Jenna for catching our son's aliments and getting him the extra care he needed.
