I am an inpatient pharmacist and recently had my second child her at JRMC. My labor and delivery were amazing and handled by a first shift nurse, but after delivery, my condition worsened and I needed surgical intervention to repair a hematoma. I was terrified and honestly couldn't be consoled because it was a very risky and emergent surgery. Kaitlyn held my hand and encouraged me the entire time I was waiting for the OR to be prepped and even afterward while recovering. She even visited me the next evening on 2NW to hug my neck and check in on me. She has had tragedies happen in her recent past, and I believe that she used that experience to help me get through that difficult time. I honestly don't believe I would've been able to cope with what was happening to me if she had not been there. She showed so much grace and strength with her attitude and kind, encouraging words. God used her in an amazing way that day, and I am so grateful for her.
