Denise has been one of the most caring, quick-footed, outgoing nurses, and ANM, that I've ever had the privilege of working alongside. She is quick to be the first one to offer a hand in a time of need. But she is also one to make sure the job is done correctly. Any question or concern you may have, she is always happy to provide you with her information and years of knowledge. I admire Denise and her work ethic. She is quick on her feet when it comes to any urgent situation or even just to help out a co-worker. I can only hope to one day be as good as an RN as Denise. I have learned so much from Denise and look forward to learning so much more and continuing to work alongside such an amazing and caring person. She is a DAISY Nurse Leader for how much hard work and dedication she has put into her role as a nurse and ANM. She has inspired me and so many other people and continues to do so.

Denise Austin is an amazing ANM and just all around RN. She is always willing to step in when help is needed and is aware of her surroundings and all of her patients. Denise is friendly and easy to talk to which makes the whole environment of the unit welcoming. When an emergency situation comes up, Denise works with a sense of urgency and efficiency. That is something, I feel, everyone should strive to have. I admire Denise and her work ethic. She makes me want to do better and be better in hopes that I can one day be a great RN like she is. I have not come across another RN who works as hard as she does every shift. I thoroughly enjoy working with her.

Denise brings to our unit her expertise and experience. She is very good at knowledge sharing and teaching. She is a great resource person for the staff, including myself. Denise always lends a helping hand to the nurses and CNAs. She goes above and beyond to ensure that a nurse or CNA is not drowning, helps with admissions, blood draws, IV sticks, etc. As my fellow ANM, she gives me the knowledge and pertinent information I need to ensure I have the information I need to help care for the patients and staff. She is a pleasure to work with, and she values teamwork.
