My mom has been on the unit for the last few weeks on comfort care which has been extremely difficult for me, as I am insanely close with her and only 22. To be losing a prominent figure in my life this young is heart-breaking, but the care she has been receiving on this unit is outstanding and makes me feel comforted as she is beginning her journey to the other side. Out of all the amazing nurses on the floor, Jessica has really stuck out to me, because she not only takes good care of my mom but our family as well. She takes time out of her busy shift to sit down and explain everything that is going on with my mom, which is not only beneficial for me as a daughter but as a nursing student as well. Jessica has made such a hard time a little bit easier, and I cannot think her enough for that!
