There are so many that I could give so choosing one is very difficult. The most recent was a new very elderly patient that showed up a day early for his appointment (who also was very anxious, PTSD and POW survivor) he was very upset although I calmed him down and he was happy. I wanted to make sure to speak to Kelly O'Donnell before he left to do a triage; we were very short on nurses and she was covering many different clinics including rooming patients, so she made immediate time to do this. The following day when he came to his scheduled appointment she made sure to come and say hello to him and put him at ease for his appointment. He was so happy to see her, he had a huge smile and was immediately relaxed. This is just one of many examples Kelly does on a regular daily basis. She exemplifies the DAISY Award criteria.
