Compassionate. That's what Tulasi Mishra is. During my stay at the TCU, I had some great nurses, aides, therapists, but Tulasi will always stand out to me. One of my days after therapy I felt that I didn't do as well as I should have. I tend to be very hard on myself and wanted to leave here walking out - without a walker or in a wheelchair.
However, reality hit, and I again went to my room and was very emotional, literally wheeling myself with tears streaming down my face. Tulasi noticed and hurried in behind me. She shut my door and just hugged and reassured me that my days would get better. She handed me a Kleenex and proceeded to share a story with me that was so special.
Hope began to run through my body. I am now walking with my walker and going home to continue my outpatient therapy. I am forever grateful.
