Melissa was very professional showing great knowledge while performing her medical duties. I noticed several times she was helping other members of her team in a cheerful manner.
When my wife was crying because her hair was falling out, Melissa was caring and compassionate. She then went out and bought my wife a hat and head wrap which matched her eyes. This made my wife very happy.
When we had to leave her floor, Melissa gave my wife and me a hug. This made my wife feel good and made her feel loved. She said she would follow my wife throughout her hospital stay, to see how she was doing. My wife died in January and she was wearing that hat when Melissa came to the services. When she left, Melissa said she would pray for me.
St. Joseph's Hospital should be very thankful to have an angel like Melissa to help people. She will never be forgotten.
