My mother-in-law was admitted to the Med-Surg floor and was dying. Our family was able to make it to the hospital and we had this amazing nurse who made the process more comfortable if that is possible. Jessica Heath saw to my mother-in-law's needs and our needs so effortlessly. My mother-in-law was treated with courtesy, respect, and dignity. When you get the privilege to watch someone you love pass away peacefully it is an honor and it should be known that Jessica assisted to make that process happen peacefully. She was given medications with no waiting to make her comfortable. Jessica made sure we had coffee and cookies, chairs, the temperature of the room, and calling in others to assist with any needs. It all happened so fast, but the one constant was Jessica. When she did pass away Jessica was in the room immediately to talk to us, she made sure all care postmortem was done and she continued to check on us and our needs as we left. Her kindness and caring heart were appreciated and noticed. Jessica made it seem so effortless, even though I know it wasn't effortless. Thank you Jessica for being such a great, caring, and special nurse. You helped to make the death of a loved one a good memory.
