Coupled with compassion and concern for both the physical and the psychological needs of her patients as illustrated by never leaving a room visit without inquiring about any other things that she could do for me.
Amber's communication skills are beyond reproach. What she communicates is clear and concise in delivery and content and is tempered with sincere concern that the patient is informed in a non-threatening and supportive way. This was particularly helpful when she was delivering new medications or performing procedures.
Amber is a true listener, deeply focused on what concerns are being expressed by the patient and thoroughly responsive to those concerns. She has an amazing ability to maintain her upbeat pleasant personality during a fatiguing 12-hour shift. I was amazed to find the same qualities exhibited at the end of her work shifts as they were at the beginning of her work shifts. I came quickly to depend on the consistency of her approach to all the issues she helped me to face. She remembered and officially followed through on commitments she made to me as the patient in her care.
