After her dad passed away a month ago, I was so impressed with Pam. I got a report from her and she told me that the baby she was taking care of, with multiple medical problems, had been made a "Do Not Resuscitate" status. She told me the parents were very tearful upon making that decision. She told them that their baby had the one thing every child wants - a loving family. She then made handprints and footprints of the baby on a card and made a bead bracelet with his name on it. Pam also went to the gift shop for a toy for mom to sleep with, to bring back to the baby with her scent on it.
I know after the recent death of her dad it was difficult for her to share these feelings with this family, but she gave this family mementos and the care they needed during this difficult time. She truly is an exceptional nurse!
