Years ago, I had an operation. That evening Kristine came into my room to check on me. Kristine immediately jumped on my hospital bed. She was holding my stomach and abdomen together. Kristine remained calm the entire time, called for help, reassured me the entire time. This incident happened in the middle of the night. The hospital called my husband, the doctor, and the surgical team for emergency surgery. While we were waiting for the surgical team to arrive Kristine was still on my bed holding my abdomen together. Kristine was along for the ride as we headed back to the OR. The staff was there for me and my husband as well. He was given updates on my condition while I was undergoing my second surgery. When I woke up I was in the ICU. Without Kris's quick thinking and compassion, I don't think I would be here today. She gave me the best care and I am truly grateful to have her in my life. Kris has cared for me throughout the years and Lexington Regional Health Center has the best care. The staff here shows the love and compassion they have for their job. I do not talk about this night very often because it brings tears to my eyes. I am blessed that I was given the opportunity to see my three grandchildren grow up and so much more! I owe everything to Kris for being there that night. I was blessed with my own personal angel. I always thank her, but it never seems like it is enough for what she did for me.
