There is no way I can put into words what this NICU nurse has done for me and my family. I came into this situation with a horrible infection, in pain, in labor and delivering a 25-week baby. I am so thankful Bobbi has been by my side the whole time. She was there almost every time the doctor came to talk to me, which was amazing because she knew how to answer whatever question I had. She has been there for happy tears, scared tears and just because tears. She made me feel so much better about leaving my baby. Not only Bobbi but the whole NICU staff, made me feel as if my baby was the only one in the unit. Even on days Bobbi was not our nurse, she would still answer any question and hug my neck to reassure me. When I call with the simplest questions, I can honestly feel her smile through the phone. The reassurance I get from her has kept me sane during these hard times. I know I have more weeks in the NICU and will have more trying times, but we are truly blessed to have such a wonderful nurse in our lives. She has been there with a box of tissues for me every day because she knows I am a crier. It's the way Bobbi knows how to calm me down to make me feel better or to distract me while my baby is having a test that makes her so special. When my young kids came to see their little sister, she stood by our side and answered any question they had. I can't stress enough how wonderful I think she is. When we do get to leave the NICU, I can honestly say I will miss her dearly. She has been like a safety blanket for me and will always have a special place in my heart, always! Again, I am not happy I have to be here every day, but thankful that Bobbi has been put here to go through this with me. Bobbi Niwa is an amazing person and awesome nurse!
