Michaela was floated to 10 Mountain ICU for staffing reasons. My patient was comfort care with no family present. When I saw my patient's vitals changing, I went in to be with him as he passed. Michaela came in and sat with him as well, holding his hand and being with him for almost 45 minutes at the end of shift. Michaela wasn't even on her own floor and her passion for her job and patients shined bright.
