Kylie was caring for a patient who had been on our unit for close to 3 weeks; all the staff had come to know and love him. He shared with Kylie that he had no more minutes left on his tracker phone after being here for so long. Kylie "secretly" obtained his tracker phone number and put 400 additional minutes on his phone so he would be able to talk and communicate with his family.

Kylie worked with a certain patient one evening. When she came back in the next day to start her night shift, his bed alarm was going off. She stopped to get it before she officially clocked in.
He had had leg cramps the night before. The physician had told the family they could bring in tonic water to help treat his leg cramps. Kylie heard this. She took it upon herself to bring in the tonic water for him. She also brought him in some treats (chocolate pudding cups).
Kylie is such a good and caring nurse. She truly gives from her heart.
