Kristi, you are a wonderful person! You will never know how much it meant to me every time you made time throughout your very busy and stressful day to pop your head in to see how I was "really" doing. You showed me such true, honest compassion and made me feel special, which only an amazing nurse like you can do. It is because you are a nurse for all the right reasons.
I've had a hard time dealing with some events in my life in a healthy way for years. When I told you about my little boy that I lost, I was touched to see your eyes tear up. It has been so long since someone truly listened and tried to understand why I have made more bad decisions than good. Thank you for making me believe in myself again. You are right- we all have an important footprint to leave behind when it's our time. I am going to try my best to make my life mean something and make a difference, even if it only helps one person, that one beautiful life that I helped make better like you did mine. Thank you!
