My dad was in the hospital for several days and Susie was his nurse for all three of those days. During his stay, my mom never left his side. She was always checking on both my dad and my mom. She offered to get my mom food and would bring her drinks too.
One morning Susie found out that my parents love McDonald's breakfast; she brought them each their favorite meals. She wouldn't' even take money when my father offered to pay her back. My dad talked about it for days. She was a lifesaver to me and my family during this difficult time. She sat down and took the time to talk to my dad about his condition and explained to them in terms we could all understand. My dad is not the easiest man to get along with, but she was very patient with him. My family and I will always remember Susie's smile and kindness. Every patient needs a "Susie" taking care of them and you are blessed with one of the best!
