My dad has been hospitalized numerous times since last fall and my family believes that the entire staff, from the doctors to the cleaning people, are the kindest and most caring people in the city. They make your slogan a way of life and not just a tag line. With everyone being so wonderful it seems impossible to choose just one person who stands out from the rest. However, my family truly believes that one of my dad's nurses saved his life. And because of this, she really does stand out from the rest, even though that's extremely hard to do with the bar set so high.
My dad was hospitalized and had significant swelling in his right calf and foot. Danielle came in and did the usual exam at the start of her shift and immediately became concerned that there might be a blood clot in his right leg. She contacted one of the doctors to suggest an ultrasound be done. When they did the ultrasound later that day they found he did indeed have a blood clot. They decided to do an ultrasound on his left leg also and found one there, too. We are forever grateful to her! She is extremely humble and sees herself as a nurse who was just doing her job, but we see her as the person who went above and beyond and saved his life. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.
